Mangold Memorial Hospital Physical Therapy
Mangold Memorial Hospital Physical Therapy (MMHPT) offers Physical Therapy services in the outpatient, swing bed, and inpatient setting. Our department staff includes licensed Physical Therapists and Physical Therapists Assistants. We are also able to offer services from licensed Occupational Therapists and Speech Therapists. The therapists at MMHPT strive to assist all their patients to meet their goals and allow them to return to the lifestyle and activities they desire.
Patients may be referred to our facility from any physician. Our facility accepts most insurance, including Medicare, Medicaid, Private, and Worker's Compensation.

What Do Physical Therapists Do?
Provide Services to individuals of all ages to enhance health, well-being, and quality of life.
Help Individuals regain strength, motion, and control of their body.
Help individuals regain independence.
Assist individuals who have loss of motion, pain, injuries, balance deficits, or wounds.
Aid in Recovery after surgery or neurological event.
Outpatient Physical Therapy
Outpatient therapy patients are referred by their physician and scheduled for an appointment where the patient will receive one on one care beginning with an evaluation then developing a plan for treatment specific to the patient level and goals.
Our Physical Therapists are able to treat many conditions including:
--Post Surgical: Total joint replacement, Rotator cuff, ACL, Meniscus, Back, Neck, Tendon/Ligament Repair, Knee, Shoulder, Foot, Ankle, Elbow, Wrist/Hand
--Pain: Joint, Muscle, Back, Neck, Radiculopathy
--Muscle Strain/Joint Sprain
--Balance
--Weakness
-- Neurological Event- such as CVA/stroke, Guillain Barre, MS, ALS, Parkinson's
--Wounds
Additionally --Our facility is able to offer specialty services for pelvic issues.
Kaysi- a physical therapist who specializes in pelvic treatment can assess dysfunction of the pelvic floor, bony pelvis, low back, and hips that could be causing pelvic health conditions
She can then treat to improve conditions such as urinary incontinence, pre/post partum concerns, prostate issues, and much more

Inpatient/Swingbed Physical Therapy
If you are admitted to Mangold Memorial Hospital as acute inpatient or swingbed patient your physician may order physical therapy. Our therapists will come to you and evaluate you and implement a plan to assist you in recovery and preparation for discharge.
The therapist may work with you on being able to move and transfer with decreased difficulty or walking safely. The therapist may also work to rebuild your tolerance for activity to help you have the stamina to complete daily activity.
Mangold Memorial Hospital Physical Therapy Student Training:
Mangold Memorial Hospital Physical Therapy has been providing clinical rotation internships for TTUHSC physical therapy students for over 18 years with over 30 students having completed rotations.
